¡ A TERRIBLE DAY !

HELLO EVERYBODY: Today I want to share with you an anecdote related to my first semester as a college student....... ¡Here we go!

That wednesday I had an assessment examination at university, so I tried to be earlier than usual, but that day I never imagined what was going to happen: "A PROTEST."

When I arrived at university everything seemed to be normal. I went into the classroom, the teacher gave us the copy for the exam, so I began to resolve it. The exam wasn't a problem, it was too easy. Most of my classmates finished before time, so some of them went to eat something or just took a break.I was one of the last one in finish, but I prefered to stay in the classroom. Suddenly, my teacher, another classmate and me heard a loud noise, my teacher thought it was a building which was being pulled down, but my classmate said: "It's a papa bomb."I was frightened so much. At the beginning, the teacher didn't believe it, but after my classmate Sara came to the classroom and she told us about what happened; some hooded people stopped two buses and they stole money from the drivers.

There was order of evacuation, so everybody began to leave. I was in the area of administration when I saw some hooded coming, it was terrible, I was scared, so I tried to walk fast. I could see smoke, but I didn't know where it came from.
Everybody had to come out and I had to come back home by walking because when I went out to get the bus I didn't know which one took me home.

¡ MY FAMILY HERO !

Hello Everybody: I came back again and I want to share about a person who I love too much, she's my mom, her name is Concepción López Roa, she is a nurse and she is from Bogotá. My mom is very pretty. She has black eyes and straight hair. She has some freckles and a pointed noise. She's slender and tall. She usually uses a ponytail although she has short hair. Also she has bangs.

My mom is my family hero because has the qualities that I consider they should have, for example, she is talented, strong, reliable, responsible, kind, diligent, brave, loved, well-organized, and others.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSY MOM...

Also I consider her my family hero because: During the week she gets up at 5:00 because has to prepare lunch and breakfast.

6:00 a.m. She wakes up my brother.
6:00 a.m.- 6:20 a.m. She takes a shower and gets dressed.
6:20 a.m.- 6:28 a.m. She serves breakfast for my brother and her.
6:30 a.m. She takes my brother to school.
6:45 a.m. She gets work. She works until 12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m. Due to her job my mom can't come home to have lunch, so she has lunch in a restaurant.
1:00 p.m After, she comes back to her office and starts to work again.
8:00 p.m. She arrives at home.
8:20 p.m. She prepares dinner.
8:30 p.m. She serves dinner, she eats it and watches TV.
8:50 p.m. She washes the dishes.
9:00 p.m. My mom goes to the supermarket to buy food for the following day.
9:30 p.m.- 10:30 p.m. She does the laundry.

When my mom needs to catch up on her work or finishing a report she arrives home late and after she has prepared and served the dinner she works on the computer until 12:00 p.m.

As you can see, my mother is very diligent and she does her work with love and dedication. I try to help her during the week serving lunch for my brother and my dad, doing the dishes and making the beds. On weekend I and my brother are helping her with the chores, I sweep and mop. I think all these things are not enough to thank my mom all effort she does, but it's a way to tell her: "We love you".

For example: Don't say: He's Canadien.
Say: He's Canadian.

I'm María Conchita Beltrán. I'm 19 years old, I was born in Cali (Colombia) and I'm a student. I consider myself as a kind person because I always like to help when I can. If you want a friend here I am.

I like eating cookies and bread because for me they're delicious. Of course, I love eating vegetables too because they help me to grow healthy and strong. I like surfing the Web because there I can learn so much about different topics. My favorite sport is the basketball because it's easy to play and it helps me to grow more. I love the colors blue, yellow, red and white because they're cheerful colors. I prefer books about biographies or self-help books, I think they're very interesting and teach you something.

I enjoy staying at home with my family, watching TV, studying or just resting. The kind of music I like best is Christian Music because I'm Christian and to tell you the truth I don't listen to other kind of music.

I like people who are responsible, reliable, diligent, studious, humorous and enthusiastic because I think you can work well with them because they go ahead in spite of their problems, so I like productive people and people who are supporters of law and order. I don't like lies because they can destroy any relationship, so I like honest people. I particularly dislike doing a mediocre work, I'm very demanding about doing things the best that I can that's why I'm very perfectionist, but I know that I have to correct this trait because it generates too much stress something not too beneficial for my health.
